FAI D. FLOWRIGHT

A magician from the Country of Seles. One of the original characters aiding Syaoran in his quest. He appears to be happy-go-lucky and playful, teasing Kurogane with nicknames as well as playing endlessly with Mokona. However, very little is known about him other than he does not want to return to the land where he came from.

NAME: CLAMP's official romanization, as seen from the Caractere Guide and the CLAMP no Kiseki magazines, is Fay D. Flourite. However, I had started using the Del Rey romanization of his name, that is, Fai D. Flowright when I started working on this website and so for consistency's sake, I will continue doing so.

CLASS: MAGICIAN

Fai's payment to Yuuko for the ability to travel through worlds was his elaborate tattoo on his back. In addition, he also traded his staff for use of a magical item during the travelers' stay in Koryo. From the outset, Fai has vowed not to use any of his magic, yet there have been various instances where he has acquiesced to "use" his ability to help his companions.

While not as battle-happy as Kurogane, Fai also is a capable fighter, using his inborn abilities to carry them through tight spots.
