Episode 3: Hama no Katana | The Sword that Destroys Evil
Synopsis:
The Republic of Hanshin, the new world filled with Kansai speakers that our party has been sent to. In this country, young men form teams who feud among themselves, battling with kudan. "Sakura's feather is here somewhere. I feel its vibes," Mokona tells them. And with the newly acquired cooperation of Sorata and Arashi, two of Yuuko's acquaintances, Syaoran's going to start looking for it. Kurogane and Fye agree to help out, but during the search, Kurogane spies a girl who resembles Tomoyo. He goes missing after following her. - Sorata and Arashi show up after the battle with Shougo and his gang. In the manga, they are the first people that travelers meet in Hanshin. - Sorata mentions that they were able to find the travelers because Arashi detected a strong spiritual force. In the manga, Sorata and Arashi knew that Yuuko was sending the travelers to their world and thusly prepared for their arrival. - All five travelers stay in one room of the guest house. In the manga, Fai and Kurogane stay in a separate room from Syaoran and Sakura. - Kurogane spots a girl who resembles Tomoyo and chases after her. [This scene is original to the anime]. - When Kurogane runs off, Fai, Syaoran and Mokona are left to search for the feather on their own. They go to the restaurant where they then meet the alternate versions of Touya and Yukito. In the manga, all four of them (Kurogane included) are accompanied by Masayoshi to the restaurant. - Sakura awakens by herself in the middle of the night, while Syaoran and the others are sleeping. In the manga, she awakens only when the second feather is returned to her.
