How many volumes of Tsubasa are there? Fifteen (15) published volumes of Tsubasa have been released in Japan. Volume counts for the non-Japanese editions may be found at the Tankoubon page. When is Tsubasa going to finish? How many chapters is it going to be? I heard a rumor that Tsubasa is ending with volume XX? Is this true? As of this writing, Tsubasa is still running strong in Japan with no plans of stoppping. Also, I DO NOT KNOW how many chapters Tsubasa is going to be. I am only a fan; I am not CLAMP nor do I know them personally to ask them directly when they plan to finish Tsubasa. Frankly, if I did know them, I'd first ask them when they're going to finish up Clover... or X... or Gohou Drug... How can I watch Tsubasa Chronicle? Can I watch it on TV? Where can I find it? Tsubasa Chronicle, the anime version of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, is currently airing on NHK Educational TV at 6:30 a.m. Japan time. The first season also aired on the Animax network in Asia as Chronicle of the Wing. If you have a R2 DVD player, the first season is currently available in DVD (no English subtitles!) from Bandai Visual in Japan and in Germany. When is the Tsubasa anime coming to the U.S.? As of December 2005, there were rumors around the web that Funimation may have the license for Tsubasa Chronicle. They have more or less confirmed this but no additional information about the first DVD is available yet. Where can I download the anime or the music from the anime? Why doesn't your site offer downloads? Wing Journey doesn't offer anime or music downloads. Where do you get your images? From various sources. Most of the colored images I personally scanned off my issues of Shonen Magazine, or the Japanese editions of the tankobon. For the merchandise, a good number of them I own; some of them I found browsing through Yahoo!Japan auctions. For the anime scans, I scan them from my copies of Animage, Animedia, and Newtype. I'd really like to own that Tsubasa [merchandise item]. Can I buy it off you? Where can I get it online? Umm, no. Sorry. I spent a lot of time and energy (and money!) hunting the rare items down. If the day comes when I tire of this fandom, I'll be sure to make a big announcement to let you know that I'm selling all of this swag. I wouldn't hold my breath though, as that's not going to happen anytime soon. If you are okay with online shopping, here are some stores that may have some Tsubasa merchandise for sale: - Anime Gamers USA: U.S. branch of the famous Anime Gamers chain from Japan. Last I looked, they have the pencilboards, the clear files, the Sakura spiral notebook, the Mokona=Modoki letter set, the Syaoran/Fai memo pad, etc. - Animate USA: A mainstay at many an anime convention, he has the Mokona=Modoki plushies, some clear files, and the pencilboards. - Shitajiki.biz: My "not-so secret" secret. David lives in Japan, and thus has access to a wide variety of pencilboards. Even if they're limited edition, you can be sure he'll get it. Super-nice guy and great customer service. He also has the CLAMP no Kiseki volumes available. Where do you get issues of Shonen Magazine? Okay, first off, Tsubasa is serialized in Shonen Magazine (or Shuukan Shonen Magazine or Weekly Shonen Magazine -- it's all the same thing), published in Japan by Kodansha. Shonen Jump is an entirely different publication, an entirely different publisher. (It's a peeve of mine when people can't get it right. Just 'cause it has "shonen" in the title doesn't mean it's the same thing.) Anyway, I buy copies of Shonen Magazine from Kinokuniya in New York City (49th Street at Rockefeller Center). If you're ever in the area, give them a visit. The magazine issues are located on the back of the first bookshelf against left wall, just as you enter the store. They're also available at the Asahiya bookstore on 45th St. and Madison. I'm sure other branches of these Japanese bookstore chains also have them available for sale in other cities. If your city doesn't have an easily accessible Japanese bookstore, I would recommend that you contact Sasugabooks. They sell single issues (be sure to indicate if you have a preferred issue number in mind). They also sell subscriptions. I would warn you against subscribing to Shonen Magazine though -- as it is a weekly publication and not only is the cost of a subscription quite prohibitive, but pretty soon, you may run out of space to store these magazines. (FYI, each issue of Shonen Magazine is about 500 pages, literally as thick as a phonebook.) Where can I get a higher resolution scan of that picture? Would you re-scan a bigger image for me for ________? I'm sorry but I just don't have the time or inclination to rescan images at higher resolutions for every person who asks. What you see is what you get. There are other websites that cater to providing high resolution scans, but this site isn't one of them. May I use these images for my Tsubasa fansite/gallery? May I use it for layouts/icons/wallpaper? You MAY use these images for your personal use. And that includes site or blog layouts, icons/avatars, and desktop wallpaper. You don't even need to credit me. Although if you make a wallpaper, why not submit it for the wallpaper page? You MAY NOT use these images for your own Tsubasa fansite or gallery. Why not? Because I want people to visit THIS site, not yours! Yes, I'm selfish. If you want to start your own Tsubasa fansite or gallery, scan your own images. Also, you MAY NOT use these images for any for-profit venture that you're brewing up. If you're making a layout, icons, T-shirt, coffee mug, mouse pad, etc. that you intend to sell for-profit that includes any image that you downloaded from this site -- YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF. You are missing some information in [this section] Thank you for letting me know. The problem is, I know that I've bitten off more than I can chew with this site. So I can tell you right now that there are so many items that I know are missing and they're not there because 1) I'm busy; 2) I'm lazy; 3) I haven't gotten around to it yet; or 4) I really didn't know that character/plotline/item existed in the manga in the first place. I try to personally answer every e-mail that's sent to me, and if there's information in there that I find helpful, I will use it on the site. I will warn you that I am a HUGE skeptic, so I may deliberately not include certain things because I don't feel it's appropriate. If I write you to say "thanks, but no thanks," please understand why. You seem like a really cranky webmaster. Bah, I'm just like Kuro-rin. I'm only cranky with the ones I love ♥
